How to pay for Claude with BLIK: API and Claude Code without a credit card

You cannot pay for Claude Pro on claude.ai with BLIK: for subscriptions purchased through a browser, Anthropic accepts only credit and debit cards and does not accept PayPal at all. You can, however, pay for the Claude API and Claude Code with an API key using BLIK through Kunavo. Kunavo is an independent gateway compatible with the OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, operating on a prepaid balance: you top up from $10, the Stripe payment page shows the amount in złoty, and BLIK appears in the list alongside card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. Przelewy24, PayPal, and ordinary bank transfers are not available. The balance does not expire, there is no subscription, and failed requests are not charged. Short answer: can you pay for Claude with BLIK?

It depends on which Claude you are paying for: the subscription and the API are separate products with separate payment methods.

• Claude Pro or Max on claude.ai: no. Przy subskrypcjach kupowanych przez przeglądarkę Anthropic przyjmuje tylko karty kredytowe lub debetowe (Anthropic help center, sprawdzone October 3, 2026) i nie przyjmuje zewnętrznych operatorów płatności, takich jak PayPal (article about declined cards). Polskiej wersji tych artykułów nie ma: polskie adresy centrum pomocy przekierowują na angielskie.
• Subscription in the Claude app on iPhone or Android: płatność obsługuje App Store albo Google Play (the same page), więc o metodach decyduje sklep, a nie Anthropic. W polskim App Store Apple wymienia BLIK tylko do dodawania środków do konta Apple, obok Apple Pay, płatności przez operatora (Orange, Play, Plus, T-Mobile) i większości kart (Apple help), a środkami na koncie Apple można płacić m.in. za subskrypcje aplikacji z App Store (Apple). Google Play w Polsce wymienia wśród metod płatności BLIK i PayPal (Google Play help). Czy dana metoda pojawi się akurat przy subskrypcji Claude, tego nie sprawdzaliśmy: pokaże to okno płatności w sklepie.
• Claude API and Claude Code with an API key: yes, through Kunavo. You top up a prepaid balance in złoty using BLIK, and charges for used tokens are deducted from it. This is not a Pro subscription, but API access to the same Claude models, which is what the rest of this page covers.

What about PayPal?

No, neither at Anthropic nor at Kunavo. Anthropic pisze, że za wszystkie zakupy przyjmuje karty kredytowe i debetowe, a zewnętrznych operatorów płatności, takich jak PayPal czy Venmo, nie przyjmuje (Anthropic help center, sprawdzone October 3, 2026). Inaczej może być tylko przy subskrypcji kupionej w aplikacji na Androida: tam płaci się przez Google Play, które w Polsce wymienia PayPal wśród metod; czy pojawi się on akurat przy subskrypcji Claude, tego nie sprawdzaliśmy (patrz wyżej). Na stronie płatności Kunavo PayPala nie ma. Nie ma tam również Przelewy24, PayU, zwykłego przelewu bankowego ani polecenia zapłaty SEPA. Klarnę Kunavo oferuje tylko kupującym w USA, więc z Polski jej nie zobaczysz, nawet przy kwocie w dolarach.

Without a credit card, the same payment page offers four options: BLIK, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link use a saved card, which may be a debit card. An ordinary debit card also works like any other card if your bank allows online payments with it.

Jeśli problemem jest karta odrzucona na claude.ai, Anthropic jako najczęstsze przyczyny podaje: nieobsługiwany kraj rozliczeniowy, adres rozliczeniowy niezgodny z danymi w banku, nieukończoną weryfikację 3D Secure, brak środków i chwilowe problemy techniczne (the same page).

What you need

Three things, none of which is a credit card:

• an email address or Google account to register;
• a Polish banking app with BLIK enabled and sufficient funds in the account, within your BLIK limit set by the bank;
• $10, the minimum top-up, which you will already see converted into złoty on the payment page.

For a trial, $10 is more than enough: Claude Haiku 4.5 costs $0,70 per million input tokens and $3,50 per million output tokens, so one hundred short requests (1,000 input tokens and 300 output tokens each) cost about $0,18.

Step by step

1. Create an account

Register with Kunavo by email or through Google. No one asks for a card during registration, and you reach the dashboard before paying anything.

2. Open Billing and choose an amount

In the dashboard, go to Billing and choose a top-up. Amounts are in dollars because token rates are in dollars; the amount in złoty appears in the next step, before you confirm anything.

3. Choose BLIK on Stripe's payment page

The top-up button opens the payment page (checkout) operated by Stripe. If you are paying from Poland, Stripe shows the amount in złoty, and when the amount is in złoty, BLIK appears in the list of methods alongside card and Link. Apple Pay is also available in Safari or on iPhone, and Google Pay is also available in Chrome or on Android with Google Pay configured. Check the amount in złoty: that is what will be deducted from your account.

4. Enter the BLIK code and confirm the payment in your banking app

5. The balance appears after payment confirmation

The top-up is credited only after Stripe confirms the payment; then the new balance appears in Billing. If the balance does not appear immediately, refresh the page before paying again: the second payment will not replace the first, but will be added to the balance as a separate top-up.

6. Create a key and send your first request

Once the balance is in your account, create a key at /app/keys. It starts with sk-kn- and is shown only once: copy it immediately. Then all you need is curl:

If you already have code written for the OpenAI SDK, the API is compatible with that format: change the key and base_url.

Do Claude Code wystarczy kilka zmiennych środowiskowych; koszt schodzi z tego samego salda, za zużyte tokeny. Trzy z nich przypinają aliasy modeli (Claude Code documentation, sprawdzone October 3, 2026). Alias sonnet wskazuje dziś Sonnet 5.5, którego Kunavo nie udostępnia, więc bez ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_SONNET_MODEL polecenie /model sonnet, faza wykonania w trybie opusplan i subagenty z ustawieniem model: sonnet kończą się błędem 404. ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_OPUS_MODEL przypina alias opus do Claude Opus 5.5, który wymaga Claude Code w wersji 2.1.280 lub nowszej (starszą zaktualizujesz poleceniem claude update). ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_HAIKU_MODEL ustala model dla aliasu haiku, którego Claude Code używa też do zadań w tle (environment variables documentation):

How much it costs in złoty

Rates are in dollars per million tokens: Claude Sonnet 5 costs $1,40 for input and $7,00 for output, Claude Haiku 4.5 $0,70 and $3,50. All models are in the pricing.

Na złote przelicza Stripe na stronie płatności, a jego kurs zawiera the 2–4% currency-conversion fee, którą płaci kupujący (Stripe, Adaptive Pricing, sprawdzone October 3, 2026). Przy doładowaniu $10 to od $0,20 do $0,40. Płacąc w dolarach, unikasz tej opłaty Stripe (Twój bank może jednak doliczyć własny kurs i prowizje), ale BLIK działa tylko w złotych (Stripe), więc przy kwocie w dolarach zostają karta, Apple Pay, Google Pay i Link.

Example (token arithmetic only): an internal assistant that sends 1,000 requests per month, each with 2,000 input tokens and 500 output tokens, uses 2 million input tokens ($2,80) and half a million output tokens ($3,50) on Claude Sonnet 5, or $6,30 per month before the currency-conversion fee. You can calculate this using your own figures in the Claude token cost calculator.

Larger top-ups include a bonus: wpłacasz $100, dostajesz $110 salda; wpłacasz $1 000, dostajesz $1 200 salda; wpłacasz $5 000, dostajesz $6 250 salda. For a large amount, first check your BLIK limit in your banking app.

W konsoli Anthropic za API też zwykle płaci się z góry, kredytami przedpłaconymi (niektóre organizacje mają rozliczenie miesięczne ustalone z działem sprzedaży Anthropic), ale te kredyty wygasają rok po zakupie i nie podlegają zwrotowi (Anthropic help center, sprawdzone October 3, 2026). Saldo w Kunavo nie wygasa.

Payment methods for customers paying from Poland

BLIK top-ups from Poland have already gone through this payment page: the first ones were settled in September 2026. If BLIK still does not appear, see the section below.

Limitations

• Automatic top-up by card or Link only. W Stripe Checkout BLIK działa na razie tylko przy pojedynczej płatności, a nie w trybie zapisywania metody płatności ani w trybie subskrypcji (Stripe documentation), a automatyczne doładowanie w Kunavo obciąża wyłącznie zapisaną kartę albo Link. Każde doładowanie BLIKIEM robisz więc ręcznie. Jeśli saldo ma się uzupełniać samo, zapisz kartę (może być debetowa) albo użyj Link.
• No VAT invoice. Kunavo does not issue VAT invoices. The top-up history, with date, amount, and status, is available in Billing; for accounting matters, write to contact@kunavo.com.
• This is usage-based API billing, not Claude Pro. The balance pays for API requests and Claude Code with an API key; it does not activate a subscription on claude.ai and does not work in the Claude app.
• The minimum top-up is in dollars. It is $10, and the amount in złoty depends on the exchange rate on the day of payment.
• The BLIK limit is set by the bank. With a large top-up, the amount in złoty may exceed your bank's BLIK transaction limit: check it in the app or pay by card.

If BLIK does not appear or the payment does not go through

• The amount is in dollars instead of złoty. BLIK działa tylko w złotych (Stripe), a walutę Stripe dobiera według lokalizacji kupującego (Stripe, Adaptive Pricing). Jeśli masz włączony VPN lub proxy poza Polską, wyłącz go, otwórz stronę płatności ponownie z Billing i sprawdź, czy kwota jest w zł.
• The code expired or the payment was not confirmed in time. Nieprawidłowy lub wygasły kod jest odrzucany od razu, a płatność niepotwierdzona w aplikacji wygasa po 60 sekundach (Stripe documentation). Wygeneruj nowy kod i spróbuj jeszcze raz.
• The bank declined the payment. According to the same documentation, the reason may be that the account's payment limit has been reached, insufficient funds, or rejection of the payment in the app. Check the limit and balance in your banking app.

If that does not help, the same payment page still offers card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link. Before paying again, refresh Billing so you do not pay twice.
